About the Role
As an Apparel Designer specializing in knits and lounge, you will be instrumental in bringing our collections to life. Your creativity and expertise will directly influence the products our customers wear and love, contributing to the brand’s continued success and evolution.
- Design original apparel concepts across knitwear, sweaters, and lounge categories, with a womenswear focus.
- Translate global fashion trends into cohesive seasonal collections that align seamlessly with brand direction and commercial goals.
- Create compelling sketches, mood boards, and presentation materials to effectively communicate your design vision to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with sourcing, materials, and product development teams to ensure design integrity from concept through production.
- Strategically select fabrics, colors, and trims, balancing aesthetic appeal with performance requirements.
- Actively participate in fit sessions, providing expert input to refine garment construction and improve fit.
- Support the entire seasonal line development process, from initial concept generation to final production handover.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a strong understanding of the apparel design lifecycle.
- 3–7+ years of experience in apparel design, with a dedicated focus on knitwear, sweaters, or lounge categories.
- A strong ability to conceptualize and execute original designs, transforming ideas into market-ready products.
- Deep understanding of fashion trends, color theory, and fabric development, with an eye for what resonates with consumers.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with product development and sourcing teams, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment construction, fit principles, and body blocks.
- A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work that demonstrates your creative vision and technical skills.
- A creative mindset, capable of turning trends into wearable, brand-right designs.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for fit, fabric, and finish.
- A collaborative spirit, comfortable working effectively across diverse teams.
- The ability to balance innovative design with commercial impact and viability.
Preferred Skills
- Extensive womenswear experience, particularly in sleepwear or loungewear.
- Expertise in sweater design, including knowledge of yarns, stitch techniques, and gauges.
- Experience operating in fast-paced or high-volume retail environments.
- Exposure to global sourcing practices and vendor collaboration.
