Key Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain quality and consistency in food preparation
- Manage inventory and order supplies
- Implement food safety standards
- Collaborate with other managers to optimize overall restaurant performance
Essential Functions
- Oversee all kitchen operations
- Train and schedule entire kitchen staff
- Develop and direct while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness
- Monitor and identify all unit sales and labor reports
- Create and implement plans to address department areas and store goals
- Perform and monitor all line checks
- Foster a positive working relationship with all staff members
- Oversee and direct the kitchen staff in order to create and maintain cost-effective outcomes
- Monitor yearly overall food and labor costs
- Ensure a safe work environment
- Oversee all deliveries
- Promote a positive Buddy’s experience with guests
- Approve unit comps, promos, credits, and guest requests
Leadership Responsibilities
- Aid in staff hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure proper usage of communication tools
- Aid the General Manager with employee reviews and evaluations
- Provide employees with positive and constructive feedback and implement appropriate disciplinary action when necessary
- Ensure all employees adhere to Buddy’s uniform policy and standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a kitchen management role in a full-service restaurant
- Proficient in management areas: leadership, communication, staff mentoring & development, and quality of operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of employment law and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Solid computer skills
