Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise kitchen staff
  • Maintain quality and consistency in food preparation
  • Manage inventory and order supplies
  • Implement food safety standards
  • Collaborate with other managers to optimize overall restaurant performance

Essential Functions

  • Oversee all kitchen operations
  • Train and schedule entire kitchen staff
  • Develop and direct while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness
  • Monitor and identify all unit sales and labor reports
  • Create and implement plans to address department areas and store goals
  • Perform and monitor all line checks
  • Foster a positive working relationship with all staff members
  • Oversee and direct the kitchen staff in order to create and maintain cost-effective outcomes
  • Monitor yearly overall food and labor costs
  • Ensure a safe work environment
  • Oversee all deliveries
  • Promote a positive Buddy’s experience with guests
  • Approve unit comps, promos, credits, and guest requests

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Aid in staff hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure proper usage of communication tools
  • Aid the General Manager with employee reviews and evaluations
  • Provide employees with positive and constructive feedback and implement appropriate disciplinary action when necessary
  • Ensure all employees adhere to Buddy’s uniform policy and standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a kitchen management role in a full-service restaurant
  • Proficient in management areas: leadership, communication, staff mentoring & development, and quality of operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of employment law and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Solid computer skills
