Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitting Operator to join our team. This is an entry-level position in our manufacturing department, responsible for the efficient and accurate assembly of kits containing all necessary materials and components for production orders. As a Kitting Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production process by ensuring that the right parts are gathered, organized, and delivered to production lines on time.

What will you be doing?

  • Collect materials and components from inventory or storage areas based on production schedules and kitting plans.
  • Ensure that all required parts and tools are gathered in the correct quantities for each kit.
  • Organize components in designated kitting areas, ensuring that kits are assembled accurately and efficiently.
  • Label kits clearly with part numbers, quantities, and any relevant information to ensure clarity and prevent errors during production.
  • Inspect components for accuracy and quality, verifying that the correct parts are included in each kit.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues with parts or materials to the supervisor.
  • Ensure timely delivery of completed kits to the appropriate workstations or production lines to minimize downtime and support smooth production flow.
  • Keep kitting areas organized, clean, and free from hazards.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on kitting processes, looking for ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Follow Lean principles to support ongoing improvements in the kitting process and overall production workflow.

Who are You?

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse work is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Ability to follow instructions and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for verifying quantities and measurements.
  • Comfortable lifting and handling materials.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and equipment (training provided).
  • Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
