Responsibilities
- Pick parts and materials from inventory using work orders, pick lists, or bills of materials (BOMs).
- Assemble kits with the correct parts and quantities according to specifications.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality before completing kits.
- Operate material handling equipment, including cherry pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts.
- Safely use hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers) as needed.
- Label, package, and stage completed kits for production or shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory and report shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S standards).
- Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
- Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous warehouse, kitting, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Experience operating or willingness to learn cherry pickers and other warehouse equipment
- Basic familiarity with inventory systems, scanners, or warehouse software (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, and BOMs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math skills (counting and verifying quantities)
- Understanding of workplace safety standards
- Forklift/cherry picker certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Reliable and dependable with strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Comfortable working at heights when operating cherry picker equipment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong problem-solving mindset
Pay
The expected pay range for this role is $18.00 – $20.00 per hour. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
