Kitchen Utility Attendant/Dishwasher - King's Arm Tavern
About the Role
Process china, glass, eating, and cooking utensils through a large dishwashing machine. Wash items by hand as appropriate. Follow strict sanitation policies and understand and follow instructions.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial dishwashing equipment in a commercial kitchen setting
- Perform heavy cleaning tasks
- Maintain sanitation standards
Requirements
- Must be available to work all schedules, including weekends, Sundays, and holidays
- Prior experience performing heavy cleaning, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting
- Preferred: experience working in a commercial kitchen using industrial dishwashing equipment
- Must obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County Food Handlers Card (active cardholders should present it during the interview)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, handle, and transport up to 100 pounds as necessary
- Carrying heavy objects up and down stairs
- Bending, stooping, and lifting
- Working while standing for long periods of time
- Working at a fast pace for several hours at a time
- Working at heights over 6 feet
