Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion school snacks and lunches throughout the day.
• Aid in prepping classroom cleaning supplies and maintaining sanitation routines.
• Support with laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and returning items to classrooms.
• Restock and organize supply closets to ensure teachers have materials readily available.
• Maintain kitchen and supply areas in compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities as Resource Teacher

• Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to enhance lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Provide flexible classroom coverage to maintain a consistent, high-quality educational experience.
• Prepare and organize engaging classroom materials and learning centers.
• Supervise and interact with children indoors and outdoors, ensuring safety and fostering social development.
• Offer individualized support to children, nurturing an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally and transparently with families regarding children’s progress.
• Maintain clean, safe, and inviting classrooms in alignment with health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Assist with daily care routines to help create a warm, nurturing environment for all students.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• Must possess empathy and compassion for young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Collaborative working abilities with staff, children, and families are essential.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. may be required in connection with the handling of children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements.
