About the role
The Hotel Iroquois is located on Mackinac Island, Michigan, a picturesque island known for its natural beauty and rich history. The hotel offers board for its staff, including a variety of meals prepared daily in the staff kitchen.
We employ approximately 100 people during the summer season from early May through October. The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and quality, and guiding the team.
Responsibilities
- Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food-related functions
- Works to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction
- Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced
- Responsible for guiding and developing staff
- Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area preferred
