Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations in the Culinary Department.
- Use creative and innovative culinary skills while meeting property financial goals.
- Teach the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation.
- Show thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
- Manage production of banquets and special events.
- Instill safety and sanitation habits in all associates.
- Stay current on new products, presentations, and technical execution.
- Show strong inventory and cost control with an understanding of finding solutions.
- Have 2 years of culinary experience with no less than 1 year as a Kitchen Supervisor at a high-quality operation.
- Prove leadership to associates to achieve goals while maintaining a high expectation to standards in regard to quality and presentation.
- Hold a Food Handlers or Food Manager certification.
- Communicate goals and expectations and inspire associates to achieve goals and advance careers.
- Build morale and spirit among associates.
- Lead by example and demonstrate the ability to instill a guest service attitude in all associates.
