About the role

We are located approximately 20 miles north of Boston and parking is free. We are also accessible by commuter rail on the Newburyport/Rockport line. Come and explore Endicott’s seaside locale where employees are an important part of the bustling campus community!

Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room, kitchen areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces.
  • Properly operate dishwashing equipment and report any maintenance concerns.
  • Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and food service areas.
  • Assist with banquet and event breakdown and cleanup as needed.
  • Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated areas.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors and maintain a clean working environment throughout shifts.
  • Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks during service periods.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous dishwashing, stewarding, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures preferred.

Pay

The final hourly rate is determined by the Human Resources Office based on factors such as (but not limited to) job responsibilities, relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and external market data. The hourly pay range for this position is $16.50-$17.50 per hour.
