The Food & Nutrition Kitchen Staff member will be an experienced and competent professional who is responsible for enhanced preparation, cleanliness, and organization of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role will provide excellent customer service to all patients and employees. Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital near downtown Chattanooga, offering comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services including cardiovascular surgery, cancer treatment, intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, rehabilitation, a state-of-the-art neurosurgery program, OB-GYN services, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist.
• Integrate ethics in all areas of practice.
• Adhere to confidentiality and patient's rights policies.
• Support the facility's mission and values.
• Prepare food per recipe specifications for daily use on the patient line, retail areas, doctor's lounge, or for catered events.
• Read production sheets and forecast production needs.
• Wash dishes.

Qualifications

• Obtain Food Handlers/Safety certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• No travel required.
• No prior experience required.
