Core Responsibilities
- Deliver dishes to guests accurately, efficiently, and according to established food delivery standards and etiquette
- Maintain a strong understanding of dining room flow, table numbers, position numbers, and the restaurant’s cycle of service
- Act as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room by communicating important service information clearly and efficiently
- Maintain awareness of the dining room throughout service, including monitoring tables for clearing and guest needs while moving between front- and back-of-house areas
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, presentation, seasonality, and allergy restrictions
- Aid with daily mise en place responsibilities and properly set up service stations according to restaurant standards
Service & Guest Experience
- Ensure all guest-facing areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health regulations
- Approach guest interactions with warmth, confidence, and approachability
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all food, wine, cocktail, beer, and spirits menus
- Educate guests and staff in a clear, engaging, and non-intimidating manner
- Maintain strong awareness of service pacing and coordinate beverage timing with the floor team
- Create a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable dining experience
- Demonstrate teamwork and support fellow staff during service
- Uphold all service standards, reservation notes, and allergy protocols
Qualifications
- Experience in fine dining, upscale hospitality, or beverage-focused restaurant environments preferred
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure during busy service periods
- Passion for hospitality, food, cocktails, and continued learning
- Strong experience in beverage preparation and batching
- Strong knowledge of industry trends
- Informed on current industry trends, cocktail techniques, spirits, and developments within the hospitality and beverage community
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours), and to crouch, bend, and lift or move 25+ lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($11.35) plus tips
