About the role

Responsible for performing work aimed at preventing the spread of disease by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and efficiently sterilizing equipment and apparatuses. This position does not require direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in alignment with organizational and infection control guidelines according to pre-established schedules.
• Completes waste stream removal.
• Cleans and services assigned areas following established procedures.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around Medical Center departments to maintain a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Operates assigned equipment, such as floor machines and buffers.
• Participates in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred (experience may substitute for education).
• 0-1 year of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe application methods.
• Working knowledge of cleaning tools such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Pay

$17.71 - $21.51 per hour.
