About the role

Our Kitchen Production Team provides invaluable back-of-house support within a bustling kitchen, including ingredient and recipe preparation and production. You’ll work in a food retail environment where collaboration and a positive attitude are key.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service for kitchen personnel according to established expectations.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control standards.
  • Work with shift employees to create a positive work environment.
  • Prepare deli case entrees, salads, and other deli items as needed.
  • Ensure proper product rotation and update recipes as they change.
  • Create and document new recipes.
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly department inventories.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus.
  • Operate with a sense of teamwork and adhere to organizational and department policies.
  • Accept direction willingly and follow through with delegated tasks.
  • Perform tasks consistently at an acceptable rate as outlined by the department manager.
  • Maintain a safe work environment according to all procedures and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in food service.
  • Previous experience with ordering and inventory control.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment where teamwork and communication are essential.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use a computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, telephone, and various office equipment continuously.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand or walk for the duration of the assigned shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs or a ladder.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height frequently.
  • Ability to talk and hear to communicate with customers.
  • Finger and hand dexterity with the ability to grasp and hold items of different sizes.
  • Vision ability including close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Ability to read register screens, product labels, and shelf labels.

$16.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time: Tuesday – Saturday, 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM.
