Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Adhering to food safety guidelines to reduce the chance of contaminating foods.
- Complying with all HACCP, SSOP, USDA and GMP guidelines and work rules.
- Following all departmental and production procedures, including certification of Just Foods TM batch tickets.
- Assembling, sorting, baking, icing, mixing, adding, or slicing of uncooked or finished products.
- Operating packaging, cooking, slicing, transitioning and/or cleaning equipment.
- Mixing or blending ingredients according to Ukrop's Homestyle Foods recipes.
- Inspecting products and notifying supervisor of quality and food safety risks.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Recording mix data and other production information.
- Supporting SQF system compliance and reporting food safety issues.
Preferred Education And Experience
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Preferred. Previous food service, manufacturing or warehouse training/experience.
Required Skills And Competencies
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work in a time-driven atmosphere and follow strict timelines.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and pushing/pulling.
- Comfortable working in temperature-variable environments.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a refrigerated production environment with exposure to temperature variations:
- Work performed primarily in a production plant environment.
- Exposure to cold refrigerated and warm areas.
- Use of industrial kitchen equipment and machinery.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and pushing/pulling.
- Manual dexterity and visual/hearing acuity required.
