About the role

Leading a talented Back of House team, managing the total guest experience, and establishing and accomplishing business goals and objectives at Wings Event Center—a vibrant venue hosting hockey games, concerts, and community expos in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Executive Chef or Concept Chef with coordination, preparation, and evaluation of food quality.
  • Assist with food and labor cost control by utilizing best practices and departmental procedures.
  • Select, train, motivate, and develop culinary staff in alignment with company values.
  • Ensure proper sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of the kitchen per company and county health department policies.
  • Create a positive, professional environment for staff growth and learning through effective communication.
  • Lead a high-performance culture focused on guest loyalty, profitability, and continuous improvement.
  • Increase kitchen team effectiveness through sound business practices, processes, and systems.
  • Oversee all facets of kitchen operations, including restaurant, banquets, concession stands, and inventory management.
  • Establish and monitor high standards of service excellence in guest and employee interactions.
  • Direct and organize activities across multiple locations and varying business volumes.
  • Implement management processes and fiscal responsibility fundamentals.
  • Build relationships with internal and external customers while delivering exceptional service.
  • Work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in culinary leadership.
  • Strong people acumen to develop solid working relationships internally and with customers.
  • Decisiveness with a “big picture” perspective.
  • 2-year culinary degree preferred but not required.
  • Driven by purpose, mission, and values with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong communication and verbal skills.
  • Able to stand for long periods (up to 10+ hours).
  • Able to stoop, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to safely work with chemicals and equipment.
  • Able to comply with safety and health code standards.
  • Able to perform repetitive motion tasks.
