About the role
The skilled nursing facility in Kingsport, Tennessee, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee food service operations, ensure quality meal preparation, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen and food service operations
- Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff
- Ensure meals are prepared and served according to menus, dietary restrictions, and physician orders
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Monitor food inventory, ordering, and budget controls
- Ensure sanitation, food safety, and infection control standards are met
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident satisfaction and nutritional needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service management required
- Long-term care, healthcare, or senior living experience preferred
- Food Service Manager or certification/degree in Food Service Management or in Hospitality
