Kitchen Helper

Location: 150 New Providence Rd, Mountainside, NJ 07092

Status: Hourly, Per Diem (as needed)

About the Role

Performs a variety of routine duties in the kitchen area, scrubbing, cleaning, and similar tasks to maintain a safe, sanitary environment in the dietary department.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes in dish machine and manually cleans, sanitizes pots and pans using established departmental policies and procedures
• Cleans all kitchen equipment following assigned cleaning routines using established departmental policies and procedures
• Delivers and picks up patient trays and coffees at assigned times
• Sets up employee cafeteria soda, juices, and milk box
• Collects trash and recyclable material at assigned intervals throughout the day
• Follows established safety procedures for removal to, and operation of trash compactor
• Delivers NB Rainbow Cafe food if needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey Driver's License
• Previous food service experience (preferred)

Schedule

Day shift, 7:00am–3:30pm (hours may vary)

Pay

$19.46 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
