Kitchen Expo

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain expert knowledge of our food offerings, recipes, procedures, and proper presentation
• Communicate with service staff and kitchen staff to ensure orders are delivered accurately and efficiently
• Follow the pace of each table and ensure servers are not rushing or lagging tables
• Show the staff genuine care and respect while pushing them to move faster, but remain efficient
• Maintain ability to keep calm under pressure and be the anchor of the restaurant
• Read tickets and get each order out in a timely manner
• Inspect each dish for accuracy, presentation, and portion consistency
• Ensure garnishes, sauces and finishing touches are properly applied
• Maintain a clean and organized expo station and assist in restocking supplies when needed
• Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the company at all times

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least 6 months experience in a similar position
• Able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests
• Able to maintain clean, organized, and professional appearance
• Able to project their voice and be heard in a busy environment
• Able to have reliable transportation
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Have a hospitality soul with a guest-friendly demeanor
• Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
• Frequent walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, and crouching
• Able to work flexible schedules to assume responsibilities as needed
