Kitchen & Bath Associate Designer

About the role

The Design Center at Curtis Lumber is seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Kitchen & Bath Designers. This position offers competitive pay starting at $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize exceptional customer service and sales skills to execute functional design and layout solutions for Kitchen and Bath Design.
• Engage in face-to-face, phone, and electronic sales activities.
• Define the scope of the project, plan the functional aspects, and design the visual look of the desired space.
• Create preliminary computer and/or hand designs, order products, and schedule deliveries to meet customer needs and maintain profitability.
• Understand the marketplace and product features, provide quotes, and convert quotes to orders.

Requirements

• Experience with 2020 Design Software.
• Average of 2 years of experience designing interior spaces for customers using 2020 Design Software.
• A degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
• Professional certification related to the position, such as NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association).

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work full-time, 40+ hours per week, with consistent schedules.

Skills

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong sales abilities.
• Proficiency with 2020 Design Software.
• Knowledge of interior design principles.
