Prepare and Assemble Food Items
- Follow standardized recipes and production requirements
- Ensure quality and consistency of hot and cold food items, including beverages
Stock, Rotate, and Sanitize Pantries
- Stock nursing pantries and bulk nourishments
- Rotate stock to maintain freshness
- Sanitize pantries and bulk nourishments
- Maintain accurate inventory records and billing documentation
Service Meals and Maintain Cleanliness
- Serve meals on tray lines
- Record food temperatures
- Deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations
Operate Equipment and Process Transactions
- Operate dishroom equipment
- Operate café registers
- Process transactions accurately
- Monitor sanitation logs and temperature records
- Take corrective actions as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective communication to facilitate problem solving
- Courteous, respectful, and helpful interactions
- Sound understanding of nutrition-related terms
- Good listening and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Able to utilize FIFO method and label and date food correctly
