Kitchen Assistant
About the role
Cotton Culinary is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our talented culinary team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of kitchen experience, preferably in a catering or restaurant setting. Prior experience as a server, dishwasher, or in kitchen sanitation is highly desirable. A valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation are also required. Must be 21 years or older and possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Aid in meal preparation, plating, and service for large-scale events, ensuring top-notch quality.
- Perform general kitchen duties such as dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Support catering operations by organizing and transporting food items and supplies to various locations.
- Set up and break down kitchen areas for banquets, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene in accordance with company policies.
- Absorb and organize kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Travel to various job sites to assist in catering operations, working alongside the culinary team.
Requirements

- Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
