Kitchen Assistant
About the role
You will assist our Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for our residents. An important part of your role will be keeping the kitchen clean, safe and tidy at all times whilst on shift. You will also help with serving meals and will interact with our residents on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting our resident’s dignity at all times.
Here’s some other important things you need to know:
- You’ll need to understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health.
- You’ll ensure that all kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order, immediately report any faults to the Chef and the Head Caretaker

Qualifications
For most of the roles in our vibrant care home, you don’t need specific qualifications or experience to be successful as full training is provided.

Pay
£12.74 per hour
Schedule
Part time role - 12 hours per week
Weekday and weekend shifts
