Kiosk Operator

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate and courteous weighing of all nonferrous metals that are brought in by our suppliers.
• In accordance with company policies and procedures, and state guidelines, accurately sort and weigh inbound scrap materials from individual customers.
• Document scrap material and customer information into ticketing system.
• Provide customers with an accurate receipt of scrap materials delivered.
• Educate, inform, and assist customers with required documentation for acceptance of scrap materials.
• Completes and submit all required reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties in the scale house and customer areas to maintain a safe and clean environment for all.
• In certain circumstances, operate a forklift.
• Must be able to work with the general public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a weighmaster preferred, but not required.
• One year of heavy customer service experience in the scrap metal or similar industry preferred.
• Ability to learn and identify various types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
