About the role
We are seeking a Kinship Support Specialist to provide support and advocacy to caregivers navigating the child welfare system. This role involves engaging identified youth and kinship families in the assessment process and developing a Family Support Plan.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and advocacy to caregivers navigating the child welfare system
- Engage identified youth and kinship families in the assessment process
- Develop a Family Support Plan
- Identify family needs and drive the implementation of accessing and connecting the family to support the youth placed in their home
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field required
- Florida Certification Board (FCB) Child Welfare Certification preferred
- Two (2) years experience working with foster families and/or families in the child welfare system preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency both written and spoken preferred
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field required. Florida Certification Board (FCB) Child Welfare Certification is preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years experience working with foster families and/or families in the child welfare system preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency both written and spoken preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of child welfare systems and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Pay and Schedule
- Pay Range: Starts at $23.80 - $27.13 / hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
