Kinship Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Kinship Support Specialist to provide support and advocacy to caregivers navigating the child welfare system. This role involves engaging identified youth and kinship families in the assessment process and developing a Family Support Plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advocacy to caregivers navigating the child welfare system
• Engage identified youth and kinship families in the assessment process
• Develop a Family Support Plan
• Identify family needs and drive the implementation of accessing and connecting the family to support the youth placed in their home

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field required
• Florida Certification Board (FCB) Child Welfare Certification preferred
• Two (2) years experience working with foster families and/or families in the child welfare system preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency both written and spoken preferred

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field required. Florida Certification Board (FCB) Child Welfare Certification is preferred.
• Experience: Two (2) years experience working with foster families and/or families in the child welfare system preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency both written and spoken preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Range: Starts at $23.80 - $27.13 / hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
