Pilot-Captain Position
Location: Pilot-Captain position will be based out of Texas
Job Purpose: This King Air 90 Captain role exists to provide single-pilot expertise to our Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) Operations based out of Texas and to meet company requirements and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Pilot the King Air 90 as a single pilot Captain in a safe and professional manner
- Be familiar with destination, alternate airports, actual and forecasted meteorological conditions, fuel and oil requirements, navigation and radio aids, and applicable NOTAMs
- Avoidance of unauthorized takeoffs and landings
- Ensure completion of pre- and post-flight inspection of the aircraft before and after each mission
- Fly accurately in relation to mission criteria
- Communicate effectively with base manager, customer, and system operations center
- Complete daily, weekly or monthly digital reports (maintenance records, timesheets, etc.) in an accurate and timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- FAA Commercial / Instrument / Multi-Engine license
- 1,200 hours total time
- 250 hours as pilot-in-command
- 50 hours night flying
- 5 hours instrument flying, 1 hour in actual instrument weather
- 100 hours multi-engine time as pilot-in-command (if multi-engine aircraft are used)
- 25 hours pilot-in-command time in the make and model (Beechcraft King Air) of the aircraft to be used, at least 10 hours of which must have been acquired within the preceding 12 calendar months (preferred)
- Possess at least a 2nd class medical
- Ability to operate the electronic guidance system
- Relocation to Texas required
- Ability to work as a team member
- Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
- Prior cross-cultural and foreign language experience (preferred)
