Kinematic Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA’s Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).
- Work with a group of engineers to generate the kinematic output data of simulated missile trajectories for the TMC.
- Support the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract’s (SWDC) Threat Products Services (TPS) / Threat Modeling Center (TMC) at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO.
- Be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline preferred with 2 years of relevant experience, or 0-2 years’ experience with a Masters’ Degree.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
- Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
- Experience in modeling and simulation.
- Knowledge of missiles and six degrees of freedom (6 DoF) trajectory representation.
- Familiarity with missile defense system components and their interoperability.
- Understanding of Linux and Windows based platforms with their associated software.
- Ability to work independently and in groups and must be a self-starter.
- Excellent time management, schedule estimation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge of missile targeting and allocation and “Red Force” laydowns.
- Experience with infrared and radar cross section (RCS) signatures.
- Experience in systems engineering and/or software development and testing, especially with Agile methodology.
- Experience working within the Missile Defense Agency, especially related to Ground Test exercises/events.

The salary offered will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law.

Employees are required to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.
