About the role
The Killingly Board of Education seeks a dedicated Kindergarten teacher with Connecticut certification (certification numbers 112 or 113).
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for Kindergarten students.
- Instruct students in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subjects as required.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and development.
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- CT Certification (certification numbers 112 or 113).
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
- At least one year of teaching experience at the Kindergarten level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of current educational theories and practices.
- Ability to manage classroom effectively and maintain order.
- Passion for early childhood education.
