Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

The Killingly Board of Education seeks a dedicated Kindergarten teacher with Connecticut certification (certification numbers 112 or 113).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for Kindergarten students.
• Instruct students in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subjects as required.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and development.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• CT Certification (certification numbers 112 or 113).
• A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• At least one year of teaching experience at the Kindergarten level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Knowledge of current educational theories and practices.
• Ability to manage classroom effectively and maintain order.
• Passion for early childhood education.
