Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

Lourdes Catholic School seeks a dedicated and committed Kindergarten Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive community. This position is exempt and requires a current Arizona Standard Professional Teaching Certificate or an Alternative Teacher Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catholic Mission of the School by aligning with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Model Gospel values and actively participate in faith community activities.
• Lead and participate in daily classroom prayer.
• Prepare lessons aligned with academic and religious curricula.
• Evaluate student progress using methods directly related to curriculum objectives.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with school and diocesan administration.
• Adapt to evening and weekend work as necessary.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of and strong commitment to fostering lay leadership in the Roman Catholic Church.
• If a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available for evening and weekend work as necessary.
• Proficient in computer technology and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Flexible in managing multiple tasks and adapting to a ministerial environment.
• Pass a criminal history and background check.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Certified by the State of Arizona as a Teacher with renewal per state law.
• Level I of the Diocesan Ministry Certification with renewal every three years.
