What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops that help K-3 students develop communication, concentration, feedback reception, and other enduring skills through active engagement rather than lectures.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, leveraging Coachbot analytics, established motivation systems, and robust relationships to ensure every child remains on track for ambitious weekly learning objectives.
  • Evaluate life-skill mastery using Alpha's Test2Pass framework, coaching students until they show genuine understanding—not merely participation.
  • Adjust your coaching approach to match the developmental requirements of your cohort, whether that involves songs, movement, and storytelling for younger learners or greater independence and accountability for older students.
  • Establish the types of relationships where students feel sufficiently supported to push beyond what they believed they could accomplish.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Standing at a whiteboard delivering academic lessons.
  • Creating curriculum from scratch.
  • Observing students work quietly on computers.
  • Reducing expectations when students face difficulties.
  • Overseeing homework, grading papers, or managing routine parent communication.
