Responsibilities
- Commit to high academic standards for all students and foster a belief in their potential to learn
- Deliver instructional services to students with IEPs in reading, mathematics, and writing
- Collaborate with school personnel to coordinate services for students
- Communicate with parents about student progress and involve them in the educational process
- Manage and create an organized, professional learning environment
- Use data-driven decisions to adjust teaching methods based on student performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Masters degree is a plus
- K-12 lead teaching experience in a classroom setting is a plus
- Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools is advantageous
- Hold NY teacher certification or working towards certification is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
