Experience the thrill of surfing in one of Maui’s most beginner-friendly surf spots—Kihei. Known for its warm waters, gentle waves, and sunny skies, Kihei is the perfect place to learn how to surf, whether you’re a complete beginner or brushing up on your skills.

Our surf lessons in Kihei are led by experienced, certified instructors who prioritize safety, fun, and personalized attention. You’ll start with a land-based briefing where you’ll learn ocean safety, paddling techniques, and how to pop up on your board. Then it’s time to hit the water and ride the waves with the guidance of your instructor right beside you.

Lessons are typically held in small groups to ensure each student gets plenty of one-on-one coaching. We offer surf lessons for individuals, couples, and families—with soft-top boards, rash guards, and all equipment included.

Location

Lessons take place at Kalama Beach Park in Kihei, one of Maui’s best spots to learn to surf. The gentle, rolling waves and sandy bottom provide a welcoming environment for beginners, while the warm ocean conditions make it comfortable year-round.
