Kids Weekday Staff

About the role

To care for and teach children from birth through 5th grade while their parents are deepening their faith at weekday and evening events.

Responsibilities

• Leading a Bible-based lesson
• Providing age appropriate activities and basic care
• Encouraging each child to build a relationship with Jesus
• Interacting with children
• Teaching age-appropriate Bible lessons
• Create and help with crafts
• Praying with children and connecting with families
• May assist with other duties in kids ministry, as requested

Requirements

• Demonstrated agreement with our Statement of Faith aligning care for and teaching children to the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church
• Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one; or an active and engaged member at a like-minded church
• Experience working with children, babysitting, nursery, etc.
• High school diploma
• Evidence of living out our seven staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun
• Agree with the *Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church Mantras in tangible ways

• Blankenbaker: Tuesday & Wednesday Mornings; Tuesday & Thursday Evenings & Special Events
• Crestwood: Wednesday & Thursday Mornings; Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Evenings
• Franklin: Wednesday Evenings & Thursday Mornings
• Indiana: Wednesday Mornings; Tuesday & Wednesday Evenings
• La Grange: Tuesday Evenings & Wednesday Mornings; plus occasional Sunday Evenings
• Prospect: Wednesday Mornings & Special Events
