Kids Club Provider
About the role
The Kids’ Club Provider creates a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children participating in the resort’s child-minding program. This role provides attentive supervision, leads age-appropriate activities, supports daily Kids’ Club operations, and delivers warm, professional service to children, parents, members, and guests.
The work environment is indoors and outdoors at Boar’s Head Resort, primarily at The Sports Club.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, active supervision of children at all times and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
- Welcome children and families warmly and provide professional, responsive service to parents, members, and guests.
- Follow established check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying authorized parents or guardians and maintaining accurate attendance records.
- Maintain required child-to-staff ratios and immediately communicate staffing or safety concerns to the Kids’ Club Supervisor.
- Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, recreational activities, and enrichment experiences.
- Engage positively with children and use age-appropriate redirection and behavior-management techniques.
- Monitor children for signs of illness, injury, distress, or behavioral concerns and report concerns promptly according to established procedures.
- Maintain awareness of each child’s emergency contacts, medical information, allergies, and other documented needs.
- Keep childcare rooms, play areas, toys, supplies, and equipment clean, sanitized, organized, and ready for use.
- Follow all applicable state and local requirements and all resort policies related to childcare, safety, sanitation, confidentiality, and emergency response.
- Complete incident, accident, attendance, and other required records accurately and promptly.
- Maintain required certifications, including CPR/First Aid/AED, and participate in required safety drills and training.
- Assist with birthday parties, group reservations, camps, special programs, and resort events as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with the Kids’ Club Supervisor and team members to support efficient daily operations and a consistent member and guest experience.
- Contribute to overall resort success by completing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet all applicable regulatory requirements for the position.
- Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, youth programming, camp operations, recreation, education, or a related setting.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and engage children in a safe, patient, caring, and professional manner.
- Knowledge of basic child safety practices, age-appropriate activities, and positive behavior-management techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, members, guests, and team members.
- Dependability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in an emergency.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive child and family information appropriately.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required or ability to obtain certification within a designated timeframe after hire.
- Ability to successfully complete all required background checks, screenings, and training.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit on the floor, lift up to 30 pounds, and actively participate in children’s activities for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience working with children in a childcare, recreation, camp, education, hospitality, or family-focused setting.
Safety Responsibilities
All employees must learn and comply with all Resort safety rules; must use appropriate safety equipment at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisor if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
