Kids Club Attendant

Kids Club provides a supervised space designed to engage children in fun, educational and age-appropriate activities. Kids Club provides a safe environment where kids can socialize, learn and play while exploring creative projects, games, or team building exercises. Kids Club includes dinner, arts and crafts, games and, if the weather permits, outside adventures.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of children and maintain a secure environment
- Plan activities, such as arts and crafts, games, reading, and singing
- Keep equipment and facilities clean and well-maintained
- Manage the sign-in and sign-out sheets
- Provide childcare, including paging parents if needed
- Recognize and resolve individual or group issues or problems
- Set up and take down supplies and space
- Ensure a pleasant visit for each guest and maintain effective guest relations
- Perform special projects delegated by management
Qualifications
- Must be available Friday evenings
- Must hold a current First Aid/CPR/AED card
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Proven child care skills
- Demonstrated outstanding customer service
- Willingness to learn and perform new child care programs and activities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail, drive and motivation
- Flexibility with schedule including evenings and weekend work
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to exercise, move, jump, stand and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to sit; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
Pay
$17.50 – $19.00/Per Hour
Pay Range: $17.13 - $30.00
Schedule
This position is part-time, requiring Friday evening availability.
