About the role

The Preschool Aide at St. Lucy Parish supports the daily care, supervision, and development of preschool-aged children in a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered environment. Assists with classroom activities, promotes positive social interactions, and helps foster children's emotional, physical, and educational growth through age-appropriate learning and play experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Assist with and lead age-appropriate educational, recreational, and creative activities.
• Support children's emotional, social, and developmental needs through positive guidance and encouragement.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, hygiene, and other daily care routines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and families.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, dependable, and passionate about supporting early childhood development.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

• Preschool classroom setting with indoor and outdoor activities.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and active engagement throughout the day.
• Fast-paced environment focused on the care and development of young children.
