About the role

This is a teaching position that assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of school-age care and enrichment activities, programs, and services for children in grades K-5 in a safe and enriching environment.

• Develops and implements age-appropriate theme-based curriculum that aligns with the Minnesota School Age Indicators of Progress.
• Delivers a high standard of customer service, including serving as the primary contact for program-specific needs, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and making accommodations for all participants.
• Works directly with large and small groups of children in planned activities throughout a variety of settings, such as: classroom, cafeteria, gym, playground, and while on field trips.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. Degree in Elementary Education (preferred).
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to work in settings of high volume.
• Able to work outdoors in various kinds of weather.
• Skilled in the use of a computer.

Schedule

• Hours per day vary, Monday - Friday.
• Minimum of 30 hours per week.
• Locations vary.
• 180 days a year plus field trips.

Pay

$26.57 - $29.92 per hour depending on experience.
