Kia/Hyundai Highly Skilled Technician

About the role

This role is for a fully trained Journeyman Service Technician in all aspects of Kia or Hyundai manufacturer training. Pay will be commensurate with training history and past experience for other applicants.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Perform ethical inspections and follow processes
• Maintain factory training requirements and certifications quarterly
• Communicate effectively with a team for the overall success of the store and all individuals involved

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast, eager learner and team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
