About the Role
The UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center (KFAC) Patient Access and Administrative Specialist supports daily clinic operations through scheduling and intake coordination, front desk management, client record management, and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Managing intake inquiries and responding within established timelines
- Logging and following up on phone inquiries
- Coordinating communication with families and clinical staff
- Collecting and logging copays and payments received
- Maintaining positive client-family relationships
- Supporting continuity of care coordination across clinical teams
- Overseeing front desk operations, including posting schedules, managing schedule changes, and ensuring front desk staff are trained
- Managing clinic access procedures, guest badge processes, and visitor entry coordination
- Supporting the maintenance of accurate client records, documentation workflows, and routine inventory tracking and supply coordination
- Managing day-of client scheduling adjustments and coordination according to established clinic procedures
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment while maintaining professional composure
- Skilled in consistently completing assignments on time, accurately and with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
- Demonstrates basic skills and knowledge of the position

Work Environment
Physical requirements include communicating with others to exchange information, lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
