Job Summary

Key Private Bank (KPB) serves clients through expert advice and personalized banking, borrowing, and investment solutions. The Sr. KPB Relationship Manager (RM) acts as the primary client advisor, developing and implementing strategies based on client financial goals, and coordinating with the extended KPB relationship team.

Essential Functions

  • Acts as the primary client advisor by recommending banking, borrowing and investment solutions that help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Leads, coordinates, and assembles the extended advisory team, including trust, investment and planning strategists, based on the complexity of the relationship.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the client’s needs through Relationship Reviews, CRM system, and personal meetings, capturing goals in a financial plan.
  • Prepares and delivers client presentations, individually and as part of a team, presenting appropriate financial solutions via consultative review and proactive, regular contact.
  • Maintains and expands existing client relationships, closes referrals, and captures new business growth.
  • Participates in community organizations to source business development opportunities and demonstrates Key’s commitment to the local community.
  • Keeps up-to-date with financial wealth management services and products, competitor offerings, and banking regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • Master's Degree in business related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience (required)
  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results (required)

Licenses and Certifications

  • FINRA License S7 and FINRA License S66 (preferred) or FINRA License S63 and FINRA License S65 (preferred)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (preferred)
  • Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) (preferred)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred)
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (preferred)
  • Licensed Attorney/JD (varies by state) (preferred)
  • Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) (preferred)

Skills

  • Ability to build trust by taking a proactive client-centric approach
  • Demonstrated expert functional knowledge of Investments, Trust and Credit; ability to advise
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of financial products and banking regulations
  • Demonstrated strong client advisory skills
  • Proven experience with and broad understanding of personal and commercial financial statements
  • Proven experience with and comprehensive understanding of consumer or commercial lending
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in personal computer applications to drive results

Physical Demands

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Travel

  • Occasional travel to include overnight stay

Driving Requirements

  • Ability to routinely and frequently operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license

Compensation and Benefits

  • This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually.
  • Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
  • Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
