Position: Key Holder
Location: Caldwell, NJ
Type: Full-Time
Summary: As a Key Holder, you will focus on customer service, inventory management, and store operations. This role prepares you for an assistant manager position and involves managing the store independently.

Job Functions

• Use the E.C.E.T. process with every customer interaction
• Be customer ready and execute the S.A.L.E.S. process
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Achieve daily operational goals and priorities
• Train and develop peers
• Participate in daily huddle meetings
• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
• Manage new shipments and organize the receiving and back stock area
• Greet every customer you make eye contact with
• Answer the telephone and be alert for merchandise losses
• Report missing or damaged merchandise to your supervisor
• Advise store management of any pricing errors
• Execute store services like mixing paint, cutting glass, pipe, and keys
• Coach staff on inventory management best practices
• Train visual merchandisers to maintain and update plan-o-grams
• Monitor store transfers and expedite outstanding transfers
• Process damaged and defective goods
• Secure the store during opening and closing
• Communicate with store management and staff regularly
• Model positive behavior and communicate company strategies

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Prior work experience in a retail environment and management experience preferred
