Responsibilities
- Drive store sales and metrics by supporting the leadership team with store opening and closing coverage.
- Help drive the in-store experience through excellent customer service and friendly interactions with associates.
- Work closely with a team that cares for our customers in an environment where we thrive by winning together.
- Open and/or close the store and ensure proper store procedures and policies are followed as directed by store management.
- Cover open CSL shifts (not responsible for coaching associates, only associate celebrations and modeling service behaviors).
- Drive customer service during assigned periods.
- Approve select point of sale transactions such as returns and voids, when needed to serve the customer.
- Resolve customer service issues as needed.
- Promote and sell products to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that registers are properly opened and closed, doors are opened and locked, and alarms are set correctly.
- Support store manager with management and coordination of the daily operations of the store.
- Communicate results from CSL walks with store leadership.
- Remain current on all company policies and ensure that all policies, standards, and procedures are maintained and followed in a consistent manner.
Requirements
- Must participate in Service Excellence leadership training.
- Must be 18 or rising senior in high school with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in retail preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule (including mornings, evenings, & weekends) and close store one to two nights per week.
- Internal applicants must be in good standing (not on performance warning) and have a good or better on their last performance appraisal.
Qualifications
- Ability to use computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other related business equipment.
- Hand manipulation to remove sensor tags.
- Ability to push/pull 100-500 pounds when moving stock carts.
- Task demands vary in each department due to different types of merchandise.
- Stocking requirements can involve reaching above & below shoulder level and lifting 25-50 pound boxes.
- Ability to work at a safe and steady pace.
