About the Role

As a Key Carrier at HomeGoods, you’ll alternate between the Coordinator role and a leadership position based on store needs. You’ll maintain all aspects of the store, act as Manager on Duty, and ensure operational excellence while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the store team performs tasks in accordance with the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
• Address immediate customer service issues and provide coaching to Associates.
• Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
• Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensure Associates follow all operational procedures, including opening/closing guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Open availability, including nights and weekends.
• 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to unexpected situations.
• Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures.
• Understanding of merchandise flow in stores.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively coach, delegate, and follow up on multiple people/tasks.
• Capability to act quickly under challenging circumstances.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of $17.00 to $17.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
