Key Carrier Department Lead

Job Description

The Key Carrier role at HomeGoods is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate between these roles based on store needs, primarily performing the Coordinator role but occasionally taking on a leadership role as a Key Carrier.

• Maintains all aspects of the store, including customer service, confidentiality, and adherence to store plans.
• Manages immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates.
• Ensures accurate Associate coverage and adherence to operational procedures.
• Communicates with management and Associates to set and address priorities, providing progress updates.
• Provides feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates.
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to enhance effectiveness.
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Team player, effective in peer and supervisor relationships.
• Knowledgeable about company software, systems, and procedures.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and delegate effectively.
• Quickly adaptable to changing circumstances and able to communicate clearly.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• One year of retail experience, six months of leadership experience preferred.
