Key Carrier

About the Role

As a Key Carrier at Sierra (a TJX Company), you’ll alternate between the Coordinator role and a leadership role based on store needs. You’ll maintain all aspects of the store, act as Manager on Duty, and ensure exceptional customer service while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promote a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality
• Act as Manager on Duty, ensuring adherence to company policy and procedure
• Prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure store operations align with the store plan
• Address immediate customer service issues and coach Associates as needed
• Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensure Associates follow all operational procedures
• Execute opening/closing procedures according to company guidelines
• Communicate priorities and progress updates accurately with management and Associates
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• Coach Associates and partner with Management on training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Open availability, including nights and weekends
• 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience
• Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Ability to coach, delegate, and follow up on multiple people/tasks
• Ability to act quickly under challenging circumstances
• Capable of multitasking with superior communication and organizational skills
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of $15.25 to $15.75 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
