Job Description

The Key Carrier role at TJX Companies is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate between these roles based on store needs, primarily performing the Coordinator role but occasionally taking on a leadership role as a Key Carrier.

• Alternates between Coordinator and Key Carrier roles based on store needs.
• Maintains all aspects of the store, including customer service, confidentiality, and adherence to company policy and procedure.
• Manages and coaches the store team, ensuring tasks and activities are performed according to the store plan.
• Solves immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates.
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and executes opening/closing procedures according to company guidelines.
• Communicates with management and Associates to set and address priorities, providing progress updates.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback, and offers feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates.
• Promotes Associate training needs to increase effectiveness and ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs, promoting safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Experience in managing merchandise flow in stores.

• Able to act quickly under challenging circumstances.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• One year retail experience, six months leadership experience.
