Key Account Manager
About the role
The successful candidate will serve as a Key Account Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota, focusing on large, complex electrical distribution solution sales. This role involves influencing and guiding the design of projects, connecting clients to Schneider Electric's innovative offerings, and driving strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with Electrical Contractors and End Users across various market segments to drive sales of medium and low voltage electrical distribution solutions.
- Develop winning proposals and proposals to clients, interpreting electrical plans and specifications.
- Engage with internal teams including Inside Sales, Quotation Specialists, Project Managers, and others to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
- Manage and engage with channel partners to enhance sales success for Schneider Electric's target accounts.
- Drive strategic growth at assigned accounts by understanding the client deal landscape and managing the sales process from prospecting to delivery.
- Stay updated on Schneider Electric's software, cloud analytics, and services to align with clients' digital and sustainability goals.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Communications, or Business is preferred. Relevant experience in electrical distribution or energy management industries is required, along with advanced experience in selling to C-suite executives and familiarity with Schneider Electric's products and services.
Qualifications
- Advanced experience in low voltage electrical distribution, medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, automation, controls, or energy management technologies.
- Familiarity with Square D Power Distribution Equipment, including busway, panelboards, transformers, switchboards, electrical components, surge protective devices, paralleling switchgear, services, and software.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, and proficiency in using Schneider Electric's software and services are essential. Knowledge of industry trends and a proactive approach to sales are also important.

Pay
$108,800 - $163,200 per year, including base pay and short-term incentives.
