About the role

The successful candidate will serve as a Key Account Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota, responsible for influencing and guiding the design of large, complex electrical distribution solutions for Schneider Electric's clients. This role involves connecting clients with Schneider Electric's innovative products and services, driving strategic growth, and exceeding sales and profitability metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Become a trusted advisor to Electrical Contractors and End Users across various market segments.
  • Develop winning proposals and proposals to clients, including C-Suite executives.
  • Manage relationships with channel partners to enhance sales success.
  • Understand and interpret electrical plans and specifications to create effective proposals.
  • Drive strategic growth at assigned accounts, engaging in prospecting, lead generation, specification, proposal, negotiation, and closing processes.
  • Build advanced understanding of Schneider Electric's software, cloud analytics, and services to align with clients' digital and sustainability goals.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Communications, or Business is preferred.
  • Advanced experience in electrical distribution or energy management industries.
  • Experience selling through distribution and to trade professionals, particularly in C-Suite executive relationships.
  • Advanced experience with low voltage electrical distribution, medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, automation, controls, or energy management technologies.
  • Familiarity with Square D Power Distribution Equipment, including busway, panelboards, transformers, switchboards, electrical components, surge protective devices, paralleling switchgear, services, and software.

  • Knowledge of Schneider Electric's product line and industry trends.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $108,800 to $163,200 per year, including base pay and short-term incentives.

This is a full-time position based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
