Kettle Coordinator

About the role

The Kettle Coordinator at the Oakbrook Terrace Corps reports to the Corps Officers and serves as a liaison between hired bell ringers, Corps Officers, and the Business Administrator. The role involves interviewing, recruiting, screening, and selecting bell ringing staff, processing applications, coordinating schedules, resolving payroll discrepancies, managing route sheets, handling hotline calls, and preparing refreshments for bell ringers.

Responsibilities

• Interview, recruit, screen, and select bell ringing staff.
• Process bell ringer applications with DHQ.
• Assist Corps Officers to coordinate and maintain bell ringing site schedules.
• Work with bell ringers to resolve payroll discrepancies as needed.
• Assist Officers to ensure daily route sheets are printed and distributed, if needed.
• Field calls on the Bell Ringer hotline during working hours.
• Prepare coffee and refreshments for bell ringers prior to the start of their shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license and MVR clearance.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds and perform moderate physical work.
• Must be able to drive.

Pay

$17.50 per hour (Pay Grade 202).
