Kennel Team Member

Kennel connected to a well‑established exotic and companion animal veterinary practice in Yorktown, Virginia is looking for a part‑time kennel technician.

Responsibilities

• Leash walking small and large dogs
• Monitoring canine interactions during Doggie Day Care
• Feeding and medicating both dogs and cats
• Performing basic nail trims on dogs and cats
• Bathing dogs
• Cleaning and sanitizing the kennel and runs
• Interacting with clientele during drop‑off and pick‑up procedures
• Using the computer system to make reservations and check clients in and out
• Completing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that support continued kennel operations

Requirements

• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency with computers and new software
• Own reliable transportation
• Ability to work efficiently
• Previous experience as a kennel technician preferred
• Knowledge of basic pet care and husbandry required
• Availability for work on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with holiday coverage as needed
