About the role
Grants Lick Veterinary Hospital seeks a Kennel Attendant to join their team. This position is Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, floors, sinks, and hospital areas
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, exam rooms, lobby, break rooms, and restrooms
- Ensure laundry is continuously processed and maintained
- Stock supplies throughout the hospital as needed
- Aid veterinary technicians with surgical preparation, including folding and cutting surgical drapes, cleaning endotracheal tubes, organizing and wrapping surgical packs, and preparing surgical instruments for autoclave sterilization
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 required due to job duties and safety requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, dependable, and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
- Good hand dexterity and visual acuity
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
